Tasty Sexy Wednesday Night Out At The Quiz

Quizzes tonight:

7pm – The Joker & The Thief. Jackpot £150. Cheat: The Ting Tings (music round)

9pm – Brass Monkey, Drummond Street. Jackpot £30 Cheat: Lancaster (pic round)

Shaka Zulu! We’re up to £150 at the Joker and one of the star attractions at the Joker is seeing boss-man Roddy’s face at the moment we find out if its a rollover (boyish delight) or a jackpot (raging scowl).

Don’t miss his involuntary reaction tonight!

Meanwhile come and see what’s gong on at the Monkey. The new manager has thinner legs than the old one but, apart from that, things seem to progressing normally. There are still plenty of beers and plenty of students strung out on couches through the back like some kind of weird 1969 Amsterdam scene.

Here’s the music round cheat for tonight (which applies to the Joker). It’s the Ting Tings:

I like the song and I like the video. Both are catchy and simple, it’s the kind of thing we should be sending to Eurovision (LESS THAN A MONTH TO GO)

Excitement!

Yo!

Pub Quiz Edinburgh Wednesday

Quizzes tonight:

7pm – The Joker & The Thief. Jackpot £90. Cheat: Walrus (pic round)

9pm – Brass Monkey, Drummond Street. Jackpot £90 Cheat: Robert Palmer (pic round)

Two rollovers last Wednesday so tonight’s pots are respectable and delectable like a Tiger if not particularly enormous and thunderous like an Elephant.

The Joker is  a smooth silk hanky. The Monkey is a ruddy velvet curtain. Make your choice

Here’s the music round cheat for the Monkey quiz. It’s Robert Palmer (NOW DEAD) being all rock star…

Meanwhile, here’s me in a white jacket, promoting the idea of booze:

Wednesday Night Quizzes in Edinburgh

Quizzes tonight:

7pm – The Joker & The Thief. Jackpot £60. Cheat: Blur (music round)

9pm – Brass Monkey, Drummond Street. Jackpot £60 Cheat: Geena Davis (pic round)

Heyyy. Wednesdays are sexy like a salmon sandwich, but on really good bread.

The Joker is  a smooth midweek lounge lizard snake pit. The Monkey on Drummond Street is a filthy hive of fuck knows what.

There’s something for everyone.

Here’s the music round cheat for the 7pm quiz at the Joker. It’s Blur being a bit awkward. I like the song though.

Meanwhile, do you doodle on your jackpot sheet? It makes it more difficult to read the answers, but it can be visually stimulating.

We Love Wednesday It’s So Great

Quizzes tonight:

7pm – The Joker & The Thief. Jackpot £60. Cheat: Renault Clio (pic round)

9pm – Brass Monkey, Drummond Street. Jackpot £150 Cheat: Martin Solveig (music round)

Two rollovers last midweek sets up a cheeky Wednesday for your pocket. One-fifty at the Monkey. That’s like.. great.

How about the music round cheat? Here it is:

This is a modern song but I like it. I thought it was much more produced, but it’s pretty bare. The video is good as well. Nothing really happens except a lift gets faster and people become more extreme versions of themselves as the lift speeds up.

Wednesday Quiz Action at Joker on Elm Row and Monkey up town

Midweek wishes. I wish, I wish, I wish I could win the quiz for the booze and the jackpot of the money. Please, Jesus.

7pm – The Joker & The Thief. Jackpot: £60. Cheat: Venice appears in the picture round.

9pm – The Brass Monkey (Drummond Street) Jackpot: £90. Cheat: The Manic Street Preachers are singing in the music round. You can hear the tune on the video posted below.

It’s from the early career of the Manics, before one of them, Richey Edwards – aka Richey James, disappeared.

It’s been a while and you don’t hear a lot of people talking about Richey Manic any more.

In fact, having disappeared in 1995 he was declared legally dead in 2008.
