History
In 1996, after a few year DJ-ing and working for BBC Radio Scotland, I noticed a gap in the market for pub quizzes that were run professionally. The marketplace for quizmasters then (and still today) was dominated by amateurs
Sunday Post appearance
Starting in 1996 with pub shows, I developed engaging formats to move quizzes on from their stale image and quickly built a following in Glasgow.
Soon I was making a full time income from pub quizzes and this eventually resulted in recruiting and training other quizmasters to cover all the quiz gigs which kept coming in.

More recently, I took Sabbatical in Greece where I wrote my ‘How-To’ guide for up and coming quizmasters.
This is the first and so far the only guide to making a living as a quizmaster. Selling on the internet, the book explains how to approach quizmastering professionally and how to get the best out of it.
As of 2009, I am now based in Edinburgh, running quizzes for various customers and looking to help others improve their businesses through quizzing.
