Morning ladies and gentlemen.
Sunday was a ride. I saw a wild killer panda on the High Street, swiftly followed by a true story from Scotty the piper about the time he was at a wedding where the bride’s father dropped dead right in the middle of his speech.
Despite around 80% of the room being first responders (it was a military wedding) there was nothing they could do to save him. His heart had gone.
This is the kind of stuff that happens in real life to real people and it was a hard story to listen to. It certainly makes pub quizzes seem trivial.
Let’s all of us who are still here give thanks that we still are.
