There are seven more slots up for grabs tonight: three at the Joker and four at The Shore
Shock non-qualifiers on Monday were Pinot Norwegio who have been dominant at Brass Monkey Leith in recent times but dropped the ball in the double-or-bust round and finished outside the places.
A similar fate befell One Non-Blonde (current Megaquiz champions from the April event), who usually stroll into the top 3 at Brass Monkey Drummond St but had a Nelson/Wellington mix-up nightmare and missed out.
All this reminds me of the early days of the Megaquiz when Lorraine’s Legends were winning nearly every week at the Strathie but always seemed to fumble when it came to Megaquiz week.
So if it happens to you, then don’t worry – it happens to the best.
