Meanwhile, the world cup rages on. The usual situation in the pubs I work is that the football is on with the sound off. This is OK. It allows the obsessed to follow the minutiae of Ivory Coast v Uzbekistan or whatever, but the lack of sound enables the rest of us to go about our business.
And I know Scotland were awful, but it’s over now. Like the sweet release of death comes to all the mortally afflicted at some point.
I’ve been thinking a lot about death this morning. Maybe because it’s the halfway point of the year. Midsummers night was last week. The darkness is closing in.
Also,I was hearing last week about autonomous drones on the Ukraine / Russia front. They now have killing machines that don’t need an operator I mean, surely that’s the end of it? Surely it’s only a matter of time before the robots come for us all. Blimey.
