I’m writing this on Thursday night cos I’m going away Fri and Sat to have a heavy writing session on my novel. I’m coming back Sunday so I’ll be on the train when I’d normally be writing this. Hail to the power of scheduling!
Anyway. You’ll be wanting to know what the novel is about and when you can buy it.
It’s about an ordinary Frenchman, a self-employed vegetable salesman named Rene who is in his 50s when he is hit by a cosmic ray from outer space and becomes a superhero called Eiffel Power. This comes as a surprise to him and he has to work out what to do with his new powers.
In the end he ends up fighting against a terrible villain, The Black Pudding, a man who used to be a man but who is now a freak that looks like a black pudding, thanks to an accident at a nuclear facility some years ago.
He’s been trying to turn himself back into a human but had had no success and now he’s very angry and ends up wanting to destroy France.
They fight!
You’ll have to read the book to see who wins.
When will it be available? I don’t know. I’m deep in the second draft. Does anyone know a publisher that can handle this?
