My daughter has left school and started at college. What a skoosh. Three days a week! And on Wednesdays they don’t even start until 11am. Wild.
What’s the skooshiest work you’ve ever had?
I remember being “unemployed” for a year or so in the mid 1990s in Glasgow. That was pretty cool. To be honest, I wasn’t totally unemployed: I had some cash-in-hand jobs for extra dough: postering, DJ-ing, medical work, writing.
But, apart from that, I had a lot of time on my hands. It was nice. I thoroughly recommend all you young folk to try unemployment for a year. It doesn’t suit everyone but it might suit you. It might turn out to be your vocation.
Remember: every corpse on Mount Everest was once a highly-motivated person.
