Does technology nobble human interaction or promote it?
The instinctive answer is that it gets in the way of connection. In the old days I would play the reggae version of the Neighbours theme tune at the quiz and inevitably someone would come and ask me what the hell that was.
I’ve been playing it again recently, but no one cares. No one has asked me about it.
Maybe they’re shazzaming it? Or, possibly, no-one cares about Neighbours these days. I don’t know.

Also, I don’t like self-scan checkouts, I prefer to chat with the person, no matter how inconsequential, but that’s a rant you’ve heard a million times before from middle-aged blokes like me, so I’ll spare you the extended version for now.
