QUIZ NEWS – Sandport Tavern – started last week with a decent-enough nine teams. Make it busier tonight. Alan is on at 7pm and Tennents is £3/pint.
Meanwhile, thoughts and prayers this morning are with Adam from Leithal Weapon who had his bike nicked from right outside the Brass Monkey Shore pub during the quiz last night.
There was sympathy abounding until I asked him where exactly he had it locked, only to find out he had not locked the bike.
He still seemed slightly surprised that the bike had been taken as it was “right opposite the Police Station” but I would suggest that coppers feasting on donuts INSIDE a police station are probably not going to notice or care about someone riding off on an unlocked bicycle OUTSIDE the police station.
Adam then went on to mention various places where he had previously left his bike unlocked, including Princes Street outside the Waverley.
My sympathy disappeared quicker than his bike. Better luck with the next one, Adam. But honestly: get a lock!
