All kinds of things can just carry you out of this life and into the next or oblivion, whatever it might be. It can happen at any time, and by any number of catalysts, predictable and otherwise:
A rogue cell, a random act of badness, an unlucky crossing. A body that wasn’t best honed for the rigours of this world. A politician’s decision.
Survival is a win. So, congratulations to everyone who’s made it this far and commiserations to those who never made it and those who lost them along the way.
Let’s enjoy it while we can.
