Thursday 11th April, 2024

Main news today is that the Fisherrow Tap quiz has moved to Thursdays, effective from today.

The pub is a bit quiet midweek so they’re only now opening from Thu-Sun I believe, but the quiz is a hit and so moves to Thursday.

If you’re a Musselburgh person, (or even a Portobello, Joppa or Wallyford person) I hope this suits you. Quizmaster Brigid gets rave reviews from what I’ve heard and she’d love to meet you on Thursdays.

Apart from that, all the usual Thursday fun is in effect at the Strathie, the Grange and the Newsy. You can pick your quizzy poison.

Speaking of which, I have no idea what I’d pick if I was offered the choice of execution from poison or hanging. Never fancied the hanging. But the poison sounds pretty bad as well.

Anyway, the quizzes tonight look like this:

Music Round Clue for Newsroom:

This is a tune which was originally a minor country hit in the US by a guy called Easton Corbin and then was remixed by Belgian act Lost Frequencies to create a monster 2014 hit which got to number one in several countries. It appears tonight in the music round at the Newsroom.
