I got April fooled this morning before I even woke up.
I was having this dream, and you know how real they can be, and I realised that given my birthdate and the year, I was only actually 18 years old.
What great fortune. To be so young. Thank god for that, I’d been labouring under the impression that I was 51. But actually, I’m on the cusp of adult life.
This news that I was now only 18 filled me with hope for the future, that everything was solvable and that I have a lot more time left to do the things I want to do. Also, I seemed to have all this handy wisdom. My God, success awaits.
I did wonder why my knees were sore at such a young age, but I thought: “No matter, I’m young enough to work that out.”
But then I woke up and I was actually still 51. Doh.
