FINAL PIECE OF THE PUZZLE

Last week the normals went back to work.

This week the kids went back to school.

Today, we are rejoined by the Joker and the West Port Oracle and everything is FINALLY back to normal.

When I am dictator – Christmas and New Year will be simultaneous and the whole thing will be a long weekend, or seven days at the most.

There will be no Christmas Market. Well, not like they have now. Food and gift stalls in themselves are not necessarily a bad idea, but under my law, traders will be local, pitches will be cheap and the result will be stalls that are actually useful and priced for ordinary people, not just some mad tourist activity simply designed to chug money.

Which reminds me of something else I need to ban- the “torchlight procession”. That’s one of the worst. A made-up tradition with no value whatsoever other than the funds raised.

City centre travel chaos. no atmosphere (I’ve seen it close-up on occasion when being prevented from getting to work by it’s existence), fire hazard. It’s gotta go.

My only other thought this morning is recurring typos. You know: when there’s a certain word you ALWAYS mistype and you always have to correct, and you’re left wondering why on Earth you can never get it right first time:

Two of mine off the top of my head:

Every time I try to type “Vietnam” I get “Vietname” before having to correct myself.

Every time I try to type “Grassmarket” I get “Grassmarkey” before having to correct myself.…

Do you have any?

Music Round Clue for Ship Inn:

This is Ultra Nate and a her song which is in the music round tonight at The Ship Inn. This was one of the biggest songs of 1997, and probably one of the cheapest pop videos ever made. She’s literally just standing there, in a hospital.

Meanwhile:
