Hot Toddy lays out £200 this lunchtime. Get yourself along to Jeffrey Street. Not sure where that is? It’s at the junction of the High St and Canongate – where World’s End pub is – and Jeffrey St is the street that curves round from there round towards Waverley Station.
Hot Toddy is a café bar and it’s a café vibe although they do a have a full bar, including pints. Make of it what you will, but the quiz is at 1pm. No jackpot winner for the last three Sundays, so we’re playing for £200. Nice.
Quizzing on Sunday at 1pm is pretty much the same as any other time. There are way fewer drunks shouting over everything, so if you enjoy hearing the questions and really doing the quiz popular, it’s a great venue.
At first glance, there’s no football affecting the quiz at The Percy tonight. But then I heard last week that they’re going to be having a testimonial game for David Grey today, so there might be a bit of a crowd for that. We’ll see.
Actually, last Sunday was pretty quiet at the Percy. It owuld be great to see your mug down there. Get in early and get yourself some of that hefty Polish food. Nom nom nom nom!
