Who is your favourite God? Or set of Gods?
The Egyptian ones always look cool. Ladies and guys cutting about with animal heads: falcons, jackals, crocodiles, ibises. Awesome. My favourite is probably Thoth (head of an ibis – or sometimes a baboon – God of Wisdom). He’s like the Quiz God.
The Norse ones are a bit lads lads lads. All a bit heavy metal and fighty.
The Hindu ones I know less about but usually I’m not too keen on the graphic style used to represent them. Too much fuss. Overwhelming colour. Design overload. And too many arms.
Christianity? One thing I’ll say got him, Jesus is cool
The Muslims don’t draw their God. It’s a no-no. Bit of a shame, but there you go.
And I really must get more familiar with the thousands of Gods from the hundreds of other religions that we have managed to come up with. What a lot of fun.
