I wrote this on Facebook yesterday and it got a lot of likes, so I’m just copying and pasting it here:

I was asked last night if the Safari will be on on Tuesday.

Of course, why not?

Turns out the concern was Scotland v England football getting in the way.
The quiz never stops for sport, wherever possible. The closest we ever get to real disruption is when Hibs are playing at home on a Sunday and even then it would take something like a Hibs/Hearts derby at the exact time of the quiz to prevent the quiz.

We’re certainly not stopping for some Eng/Sco thing. No one cares. Or to put it more accurately, no one really cares, that much.

Same goes for the Rugby World Cup. Quiz takes precedence.

Same goes for any Netball, Cricket, Fencing, Golf, Hockey, and even the Darts.

The quiz is better than televised sport. Forever and ever. Amen.

Also, when I am dictator, all football will ONLY be on Saturday at 3pm. No exceptions. Vote for me.

So that’s my statement. I hope Scotland pump England but I don’t care if they don’t. It doesn’t matter. What really matters is tonight’s quizzes:
