So, Hibs got pumped by Villa the other night and while this is bad for local pride, it’s probably good for the quiz. When Hibs are in Europe, the games are on Thursday and, consequently, league games are on Sundays instead of Saturdays.

When those games are at home, we get a lot of Hibees in the pub at the Persevere. It’s never a real problem but it makes things slightly more difficult in terms of the quiz. It’s just more noisy and more full. Not a big deal.

But with Hibs seemingly on their way out, it means Sundays are likely to be more easy-going. 

Of course, this week’s game was, exceptionally, a Wednesday so Hibs played yesterday, so we’ll be clear tonight. If you want to book a table ,go ahead and call the pub on 0131 554 0271 or through Facebook but simply turning up will also probably be fine.

Having said all this, it would be sweet if Hibs went down to Birmingham and somehow won six-nil against the millionaires of Premier League England and carried on, but I aint putting money on it. No one is.
