Confusing day for football. The World Cup final is on in the morning, effectively serving as a support act for both Hibs AND Hearts playing at home at the same time.
As I Partick Thistle fan, I will be attending the Fringe instead.
But I might watch the Ladies’ World Cup. I see England are playing against Spain. I’ll send this out before the game so there’s no chance of irrational anti-Englishism creeping into my text.
I wish them both good luck.
Mind you, that’s what the Humza guy said and that was immediately branded “anti-English”.
So it seems you can’t win – which is just like football in real life (as I said, I’m a Partick Thistle supporter)..
Come to the quiz. You’ve a better chance of winning our trivia showdown than you have of winning the World Cup. All you need to do is get past our top-ranked nations: The Plebs, Lorraine’s Legends, (these are your Brazils, your Germanys)
Watch out for talented middle-ranking teams like Gone by Seven, Big Mac, Terrible Trio, (think Netherlands, England, Spain)
And don’t discount some of the lower ranked countries like Blue Fox Tuesday (who can prove to be a handful on their day but really look to the past for their greatest glories – basically Scotland).
