The Reverie was busy in the last quiz before Christmas in which the DUTCH MAFIA not only won the quiz but went on to snaffle that extra spending money too.

A top team effort it was, as rock hard Heiss (or whatever he is called) the trombone-playing Dutchman easily swatted aside the challenge of the horn before Dave slotted his putt home for the cash.

Conversation afterwards revealed that Dave (right, with golden putter) has been going out with his bird for a month with no direct payoff and was struggling on deciding a nice xmas present for her.

The team and myself unanimously voted that he should give her his time on Boxing Day but Dave is a season ticket holder at Hibs and that comes first.

The compromise solution was to meet her after yesterday’s Aberdeen game and give here a bottle vodka, so let’s hope it all worked out for him yesterday

After all, a month is a long time.
