Out of the nine weekly quizzes I host myself, Wednesday night at the Brass Monkey Shore probably has the highest concentration of “good” teams, but last night I might have found their collective weak point.
I asked a list-round question about Tom Cruise films of the 2010s. Bang! There were zeros and twos. Regular quiz heroes struggled.
Meanwhile some not-so-prolific teams actively prospered, scoring eights and tens.
Some teams are just better at the quiz than others and that’s ok but, as a quizmaster, you’re always trying to find ways of levelling the field.
It seems Tom Cruie is the way and the light. Thanks, Tom. It’s almost enough to make me believe in Scientology, whatever the hell that is.
