What does 12.00 pm mean? Does it mean twelve midnight or twelve midday?
It’s possible to see it both ways. If 11pm is eleven at night, then surely 12pm is midnight?
But if 12:01 pm is one minute after midday, then surely 12:00 is midday?
I actually don’t know. The question was sparked by seeing a poster for a Fringe show which might be interesting (‘The Depths of Wikipedia’) which is advertised as 12:00pm.
Looking it up now, I find they mean 12 midday.
Funnily enough if they’d dropped the “pm” and just advertised “12:00” then that would be more clear, as you would assume the 24 hour clock.
Remind me to never put on any events at either twelve. Too confusing.
