Today is a Bank Holiday, apparently to celebrate that Scotland has qualified for the World Cup “for the first time in 28 years”. Presumably, the women qualifying seven years ago doesn’t count?
It’s a ridiculous celebration in all sorts of ways. There are 48 teams at this World Cup. Jordan, Uzbekistan and Curacao are all there. Scotland making it is welcome but not amazing.
It’s certainly not worth a bank holiday which is obviously nothing but cheap politics.
Anyway. Well done to Scotland for DESTROYING Haiti. Morocco next, but before that, there is, hopefully, the psychological boost of England getting HUMPED off of Croatia.
