I was thinking about museums yesterday and how great they are.
I’m talking about ALL museums, not just the award-winning ones. Even the crappy regional ones like I’ve visited in places like Girvan, Forfar and Melrose are completely fantastic.
The thing is that someone has bothered. Someone had thought “you know what – this stuff is interesting enough to collect, research, display, look after and make available week after week for anyone else who might be interested. Let’s do it.”
What a brilliant human endeavour.
Also, I’m getting so old I might end up in one, so gotta pay my respects.
