I haven’t told you about my novel for a while. I’ve been working on it for a couple of years and I’m sick to bloody death of it and I just want to get it finished. I’m on the third draft, on chapter 33 out of 39 chapters. Getting there.
It’s a superhero story about an ordinary Frenchman who gets hit by a cosmic ray and turns into Eiffel Power, which is basically the Eiffel Tower with his head on the top. He can fly and all that stuff. Obviously he has no idea what’s going on. He has to work out how to be this superhero.
His enemy is The Black Pudding, the most evil villain of all time, a creature who used to be a man but is now a black pudding after being turned into one by a nuclear accident.
The Black Pudding is angry and starts off wanting to destroy all of France’s nuclear power stations but ends up just wanting to kill everyone in France. The only thing that stands between the Black Pudding and his sickening goal is… Eiffel Power!
Honestly, it’s brilliant. It’s going to make me a million pounds and then I can cut myself down to one or two quizzes a week.
