Last year I observed that the other members of my household were stealing my socks. This caused me a great deal of grief, heartache and pain.
Then I realised that they were only nicking black socks. So I bought a whole bunch of coloured socks and my feet and I have been living in cosy peace for months.
Until last night, when I came home to find my daughter wearing a pair of bright red Sock Shop socks.
I pointed at them and made a noise like Donald Sutherland at the end of ‘Invasion of The Body Snatchers’.
She said “but they’re nice and soft and they don’t have holes in them”.
New tactics are required. If you have any solutions, let me know.
