Our quizzes are free to take part, and it’s £2 for the jackpot round. Not bad likes, not bad at all. Maybe too good? Let me float a wee idea.
What if I made it £5 instead of £2 for one entry in the jackpot round?. Each jackpot round would get fewer entries but perhaps recoup the same total amount of money. But having fewer entries would result in fewer jackpots and more rollovers…. and therefore bigger pots.
Currently we have a lot of quizzers who do multiple entries for each jackpot round, to increase their chance of winning. Nothing wrong with that, but it means getting rollovers is pretty hard, unless we just ask eight impossible questions, which I don’t think would be any fun.
I don’t know. Is it worth trying the £5 entry at one or two venues in the New Year to see how it goes? It would probably be one of the venues where the jackpot is £50 rather than the £30 venues.
