QUIZ NEWS: you now have a Newington quiz on a Monday night with Bonni starting at the Brass Monkey Grange at 9pm tonight. We’re now doing two a week there – the Thursday quiz hosted by me is not changing.

I’ve notice that when I see a film clip of some nature scene where a killer whale is hunting a seal, I want the seal to get away.
When it’s a lion is chasing a wildebeest or a zebra, it’s less clear. If it’s a baby wildebeest I want it to get away. If it’s an old wildebeest, I’m thinking “come on – get it!”
And if I’m looking at a spider v fly situation (there’s a fresh web outside my window right now), then there’s no question. I want that spider to eat.
What makes us take sides like that?
