QUIZ NEWS: Oliver’s is OFF tonight. Hibs are at home – that’s the reason. We thought Hibs had already been knocked out of Europe but this isn’t the case. If they don’t get knocked out tonight, there are going to be a lot of Thursday games, so quiz is under review. More news when I get it.

Also – Sandport is shifting slightly later. New start time: 7.30pm

Apart from that, there’s a £300 jackpot tonight at the Willow in Musselburgh, which is not the biggest jackpot of the year but is certainly in the top two.

So if I were you, I’d go there. Musselburgh has the added advantage of not having a festival to get in the way of things.

The Festival adds on AT LEAST half an hour to my Thursday journey-to-work which is usually about 40 minutes. But it can be worse than that, so to be sure I give myself an extra hour.

I’ve dealt with this for enough years now to bypass getting angry. It’s just a thing. There are worse ways to die than gently expiring on the number 8 as it struggles to get from stop to stop up the Bridges.

I hope the comedians, narcissists and Bulgarian badger-baiting troupes are worth it. Hell, I might even go and see a show at some point.

Anyway, tonight’s quizzes:

With quiz and love,

Dr Paul

Music Round clue for Newsroom tonight:

This is some stinking old rock and roll from Foghat which you can hear in the music round tonight at the Newsroom. It reeks of lager, amphetamine, misplaced machismo and dirty carpets.
