I was talking to a Brass Shore regular last night who’s a lawyer for an advertising company. The company has a flat in central London which he can use to stay in if he’s ever in central London – it can be a personal visit, it doesn’t have to be for work. Saves loads of money – a cool benefit.
I met a taxi driver the other night who used to be a project manager for a big market research company and he helped build data-collecting apps that destroy your privacy. They were a success and got rolled out globally, but he said it got a bit boring, so he’s on the taxis now and has been full time for five years.
I asked if he liked the taxis and he said it’s OK but he’ll probably go back to business stuff eventually “Basically I’m a spreadsheet guy – I belong in an office,” he said.
