Quiz tonight, free answer is LOWRY, but I’m sure what you’re really opening this post for is to get my views on last night’s Eurovision.
Austria deserved to win. Great performance. I didn’t really like the song but I did enjoy the reprise performance better without the silly staging. Well done to the young fella. Shame it’s going to be another expensive country hosting next year. Mind you, which countries are cheap these days?
Israel are going to keep doing well if they’re allowed to continue in the contest. They’ve got their votes organised. Singer was competent, song was dull. No way it should have been second. EBU dodged a bullet by Israel not winning.
shocker of the night: cannae believe Switzerland got no points from the public. Slightly less surprised at the UK experiencing the same kick in the teeth. Ooft! Felt sorry for the contestants. Felt doubly sorry for Icelandic Jedward. They deserved better.
My own favourite song was Latvia. The only thing last night that was pure art. Knew it wasn’t going to win. Fairly pleased it came 13th.
