Yesterday afternoon I was out with my daughter Stella and we popped into one of the Chinese Supermarkets on Leith Walk.

What a superbly silly collection of stuff they stocked. We particularly enjoyed the items which have no English at all on the packaging whatsoever and which make you wonder “What the hell even IS this stuff?”

They’ve got fizzy drinks made out of fruits I’ve never heard of and hard-to-fathom bits of animal in vac-packs and no words – just a price. I love a mystery.

Anyway – it’s Sunday so I’ll see you at the Percy or the Hot Toddy (biggest jackpot tonight of £150).
