QUIZ NEWS: Like a few venues we have in the heart of Fringe-land, Dublin Street Social is off for the next couple of weeks, restarting September

This morning, I was trying to write questions about nebulas. Science questions are tricky to write, but satisfying.
In some ways, science is the ultimate category for our quizzes. Science facts need updated less frequently than things like sport and entertainment. Also, science is cross-cultural. The same facts apply whether you’re from Cheltenham or China.
Science questions are GREEN on the DP Quiz database. My category colour-coding is based on the original ‘Trivial Pursuit’ categories.
Not that you ever see this, the colours are just used on the quizmaster sheets. For the Double-or-bust and the Jackpot rounds, each quizmaster gets a random selection of questions for both rounds (15 of each) and, from those, chooses which 5 to ask for double or bust and which 8 to ask for the jackpot round.
The point of the categories is to help the quizmaster pick a set that covers varying ground.
