I was talking to one of the regulars last night at Brass Gorgie who wasn’t going to stay for the quiz this time because he was “getting up early”.
Usually, when someone says that, they mean something like 7am. Like boo hoo.
But this chap was for real. I asked him what time early meant. In this case – 04:00. Now that’s proper. Respect.
Further respect! Turns out he’s a bus driver for Lothian. All hail the drivers, all hail the buses. The buses are brilliant and so are all of the drivers. Honestly – if you’ve never lived in another city, you’ve no idea how good we’ve got it. Edinburgh buses rule.
