The Eastway Tap quiz is now on Tuesdays at 6pm, which leaves us with just the one quiz on Sundays which is me at the Persevere tonight at 6pm.

And as far as I know, there is no bloody football getting in the way this week although my daughter and myself were disappointed last night to discover that Gladiators wasn’t on because of the bloody football.

“The world needs to know, the world needs to know!” said the scheduler at the BBC.

“Needs to know what?” said the people.

“Needs to know the outcome of Nottingham Forest v Brighton” said the BBC.

“What?” said to the people, “Who cares about that?”

“Everyone cares!” said the BBC. “Cancel everything else!”

“Even to the extent of cancelling Gladiators?” said the people, saddened.

“Yes” said the plonker at the BBC.

And that’s the way it goes. If you’re just trying to enjoy the things you like and get on with your life, it’s only a matter of time before bloody football comes along like some school bully, and takes your lunch money.

I don’t like it.
