Each DP Quiz compilation is a unique set of questions. You can happily go to the the Monkey on a Monday, Bar Oz on Wednesday and Paradise Palms on the Sunday and they’ll all be different.

I believe some quizmasters operate with one quiz across multiple venues for the same week. But that’s just low class.

However, I DO re-use questions and if you come to enough quizzes you’ll occasionally come across a question (or perhaps a round) that you’ve met before.

But that’s still a challenge.

I’ve had people telling me, with maximum frustration, how galling it is to get the same question wrong for the second time in a few weeks.

They just didn’t learn the first time. Once bitten, twice bitten.

We need to learn from our mistakes.

One of the great things about humans is adaptability and plasticity and flexibility, especially in the case of acrobats and contortionists.

Speaking of which, James was telling me last night about a film or TV show (I think it was the X-Files) where some guy crams himself into a pipe. He said it was disturbing.

Iona added that there used to be a lady in her childhood (an aunty?) who had once got trapped in a pipe herself and always warned the kids not to play in pipes.

This is THE MOTORS and their big hit from 1978 which appears in the music round tonight at the Safari Lounge. Great song. Very atmospheric.
