BEST DAY OF THE YEAR?

Simon from round the corner told me yesterday that he’d heard a theory that December 27th is the best day of they year.

Reasons: Christmas is officially over so there’s none of that stuff to deal with any more but you’re still on holiday (if you’re a kid or you’re one of these persons who’s off for a few weeks) and you’ve got time now to avoid being an adult for quite a few days.

Of course, for those with children or a non-standard non-9-to-5, this may not be true. But I’d like to think that some of you are enjoying one of the best days of the year. If you are, then congratulations. Come to the quiz.

Music Clue for West Port Oracle Tonight:

This is COLD WAR KIDS and it’s in the music round at West Port Oracle tonight. It’s from 2007 so, as far as I’m concerned, it’s modern. It’s also Californian. These factors usually combine to create something unpleasant, but I like this song. It’s groovy. The video is a also a fair stab at making a “film noir” pop video but I think the contrived nature of the vid makes the whole thing less likeable rather than more likeable. As ever, views and numbers prove me wrong. This video has fourteen million views.
