My daughter draws a cartoon character called Silly Cat, which is a girl called Cat, rather than an actual cat. Silly Cat is a funny character, a girl with a cool attitude and big hair and who has the gift of looking a bit daft and cool/nonchalant at the same time.
Whilst looking out of the window of a bus yesterday while approaching Portobello, I saw a real-life girl who looked just like Silly Cat. Same hair, same facial expression. I told my daughter about it later. She was delighted.
Do you know anyone in real life who looks like a cartoon character? I think to answer this, it’s easier to imagine the character first and then try and find a real-life match.
For instance, if I think of the Teacher out of the Bash Street Kids, I can think of a certain person who fits the bill. A guy I know who lives in Glasgow. Daphne Broon? I know one of them too.
It doesn’t work every time. For example, I don’t think I know anyone who looks like Bananaman.
Anyway, Percy is on tonight, just not with me. I’m having the whole weekend off, but Bonni is covering.
