9pm – Safari Lounge. Jackpot £30. Cheat news: Brian May (music round)

Fringe finished. I think it might be the fireworks tonight so quiz may be quiet – but hopefully I’ll see you in the nice cosy pub where everyone is your friend. Hopefully you’ll see the wisdom in attending the quiz instead of taking your chances with the sea of hooligans and wanks that populate these large outdoor events. And it might rain.

Mind you, if you do eschew the quiz tonight, you won’t have to listen to the fifteen second clip of this absolute steamer that’s in the Safari Lounge music round tonight.

Amazingly, all the youtube comments say they love it. But I remember it being an advert to sell Ford Escorts. Tainted.

Occasionally, May turns up in Dead Pool. It’s the last few days of August so I am collecting names for September. Get your entry in tonight.

Remember: tonight’s pub quizzes are located less than a mile apart. You could, feasibly, do the double.

First one at the Brass Leith finishes at 8.30pm and the second one at the Safari Lounge begins at 9pm (although I don’t usually hit the first question until about 10 past or quarter past)
