9pm – O’Connors. Jackpot: £30. Cheat clue: Hi-Tack (music round)

It’s Tuesday which Josh’s quiz at O’Connor’s.

Cheat News

One of the answers in tonight’s music round is Hi-Tack who had a one-hit wonder in the late 90s with this dance cover of a song which was originally a 1980s duet between Michael ‘Jacko‘ Jackson and Paul ‘Macca‘ McCartney.

How DO they think of those nicknames.

Anyway, this is the Hi-Tack version:

The bangin’ sound of ’06

Michael Jackson won’t be at the quiz tonight because he is dead.

Paul McCartney might be at the quiz tonight but almost certainly won’t be because he’s a multi-millionaire and doesn’t need the money.

But he might come for the anagram. He loves anagrams.

In fact, he particularly enjoys anagrams of his own name:

  • Creamy Cunt Pal
  • Pray Camel Cunt
  • Pay Calmer Cunt
  • Army Cunt Place
  • Cunt Parcel Yam
  • Lay Camper Cunt
  • Creamy Lap Cunt
  • Cunt Race Amply
  • Palmy Cunt Acre
  • Repay Cunt Calm

And so on.

Other anagrams of Paul McCartney’s name that do not involve the word cu*t are available, just not on this page.

Get yourself to the quiz tonight to find out if ANY of the surviving Beatles turn up.

9pm at O’Connor’s

Wednesday Quizzes in Edinburgh – Nov 14th 2018

Quizzes tonight: both jackpots are smoking. Come put the fire in your pocket!

7pm – The Joker & The Thief. Jackpot £150. Cheat: Archimedes (pic round)

9pm – Brass Monkey, Drummond Street. Jackpot £150 Cheat: Timbuk3 (music round)

Wednesdays in late November are probably cooler than The Fonz. We’re talking real cool. Like a camel on skis.

Here’s the song which is in tonight’s music round at the Brass Monkey. This inside knowledge is the wee bonus you get for looking at the website or reading the email.

The video explains that this song was about the threat of nuclear war but the public ignored that and adopted the song as a high-school graduation anthem. It was a one-hit wonder.
