The new bus schedule for the 35 is playing havoc with my ability to transfer smoothly between the Sunday quizzes. I know you couldn’t care less. I’m just saying.

Anyway, here’s the music round cheat for tonight’s quiz at the Tolbooth – it’s a fantastic 1984 song. You’ve no idea how club and hard this sounded in 1984 when you were used to straight pop on Radio 1.

I was too young to go to clubs and this was my first exposure to proper Hi-NRG sounds. Totally great.

If you like all that old TOTP stuff, make sure and watch the documentaries on youtube. The BBC made a series: each episode is a single year, viewed through the lens of Britain’s favourite pop show.

They cancelled TOTP in 2006 which, oddly enough, is where everything in the world started to go wrong. Causation? Correlation? Who knows

Anyway, however it works, I’ll se you at the quiz later.
