Thalidomide Joke Nearly Spelt Correctly

Spelling breakthrough – nearly. This joke gets handed in for the jokes round from time to time and so far no one in the history of the Dr Paul quiz (stretching back to 1996) has managed to correctly spell the name of the morning sickness drug which had disastrous consequences in the 1950s and 60s.

This recent entry is probably the closest anyone has ever come to breaking that record:

Well done Edinburgh. Well done on your spelling prowess. Nearly.
